On May 10, Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerkin Tukumov held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Kazakhstan Jun Yamada.
The parties noted the positive dynamics of the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Japan, emphasizing the positive experience of cooperation between KazISS and Japanese research institutes, analytical funds and centers.
Mr. Yamada congratulated the Institute on the upcoming 30th anniversary this year. He also expressed interest in the upcoming Central Asian Forum on Security and Cooperation, which will be attended by leading world experts from more than 20 countries, including Japan.
The meeting participants agreed to further expand contacts and expressed mutual interest in strengthening practical cooperation between the analytical centers of the two countries.
